Hello!  I started teaching at St. Barbara Elementary School in 2003.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Education.  I also have a Reading Endorsement and an Elementary Generalist Endorsement, which allows me to teach all subjects in the fourth and fifth grade.  I have taught Preschool, Second grade, and Fifth grade.  In 2014,  I moved to Saints Philip and James school to teach First grade.

I currently live in Doylestown with my husband Jason and our four cats.  In my free time, I like to read and spend time with my family.

2018-2019 Lesson Plans:

First Grade

Mrs. Molly Flory

•Our first graders work hard to learn to read using Wonder’s Reading series

•Language Arts skills are grown through a variety of meaningful activities.

•Students learn Math using hands-on manipulatives and exciting games.

•Trips around the town provide a foundation for learning Social Studies.

•Science is taught through experiments and real life experiences, like tracking the moon and watching butterflies emerge from their cocoon!

*Health is hands-on, as students learn to take care of their bodies.

*We open and close each day with prayer and an opportunity to learn about and grow closer to God.

•Students participate in P.E. weekly, as well as computer classes, Spanish, music, art, and library.

There are many experiences that make First Grade special.  Here are a few:

•You get to have an 7th Grade Buddy to share experiences with!

•Each week, we walk to the Canal Fulton Public Library to check out books and hear stories.

•First graders participate in the Christmas program.

•We have Halloween and Valentine's Day parties.  First Grade also participates in Polar Express Day.

•We take field trips to either a pumpkin patch or apple orchard in the fall, and the zoo or Wilderness Center each spring (alternating years.)

•Art  (taught by Mrs. Salupo)

•Music (taught by Mrs. Clay)

•Spanish (taught by Mrs. Welch)
