You must bring to class every day:
Pencil
Red Grading Pen
Notebook
Notebook Paper
Textbook
****** Once class begins, you may not get out of your seat. If you need to sharpen your pencil or throw something away, you must wait until we begin our homework. At that time you need to raise your hand and get permission first.********
Notebooks: During class, you will be responsible for taking notes on the material. Any notes or examples should go into your notebook. Notebooks will be graded at the end of select chapters. Each day your notebook should follow this format:

Ch. ______ Sec. _____ Topic Page #s
For example:
August 25, 2008
Ch. 1 Sec. 1 Numbers and Patterns p. 6-9
Your notebook is only to be used for math and no drawing/doodling. I will not flip through your notebook to grade it. If a section is missing you will not receive credit for it. If you are absent, you are responsible for getting the notes from a classmate.
Homework: You will have homework almost every night. Some assignments will be taken for completion and some will be taken for a grade. All homework is to be completed in pencil, no exceptions. If it is done in pen, it will be late and you will have to redo it for half credit.
If you need help, you may see me during your study hall or after school. You can also go to the books website go.hrw.com On the website you can watch an excellent explanation of each lesson.
